Text: Galatians 3:26-28 & 2 Corinthians 5:15-17 (NKJV)
There’s life in Christ. If you are in Christ, your life is no longer yours. All who have given their lives to Christ are bound to live for Him. Romans 8:1 (NKJV) says that one of the benefits of being in Christ is that there is no condemnation for those who walk according to the Spirit. The devil works in the hearts of the disobedient.
God is the Father of spirits. Your biological father is responsible for your body. Man, by God’s creation, is a spirit. The real you is a spirit being. Your spirit cannot be sick or feel pain. It would be wrong to say you are a failure because the God-Spirit inside of you cannot fail. The only time your spirit gets affected by negative things is when you vocalize them. You must guard your utterances. Whatever is of God overcomes the world. You’ve got to live the life.
It is imperative to underscore that everyone who is in Christ is equal. When you gave your life to Christ, you were born fully grown. The difference in growth is how we advance ourselves in the revelation of God. Our revelation of God is what progresses. The revelation of God does not change. There are no new revelations of God. The revelation you have of Him existed before you discovered it. In other words, your growth in Christ is dependent on how much revelation you have of God.
1 Corinthians 13:11. There are some people who, even though they are in Christ and born fully grown, still reason like children. A child prefers concerts to prayer meetings. A child misplaces values. Children do not understand responsibility. They don’t feel the need to contribute to the growth of the body of Christ. They do not take the matter of representing Christ seriously. They take correction as rejection, and so they are quick to back out in the face of correction.
Romans 4:19 (KJV). Strength is measured by the ability to stay steadfast in the face of adversity. This is how a son acts. When you are faced with trials and tribulations, strength comes when you counter them with the word of God. Strength is when you can dance through the storm. Strength is when you fall and get back up.
