End Of Year Thanksgiving

If there was a day you wanted to be cool, dignified and sophisticated; NOT TODAY!

This is Shouting Sunday!

God established a system in the land of Israel whereby in every 7 years they would enjoy harvest without labour; and at the end of the 49th year they would proclaim liberty and debt cancellation (Leviticus 25). God interjected the lifespan of the years of his children with jubilees. We are a type of Israel, and we understand that there have been times when we were fed, not by our efforts or hardwork, but by the grace of God alone (I Corinthians 15:10). God has been good to us and we know it!

John 10:10 (NKJV) – The biggest thief is ingratitude. It sneaks into your heart and steals your joy, time, blessings, destiny, miracle etc, without you realizing it until they’re gone. Ingratitude keeps you stagnant.

Despite all you may have lost, God is the reason you didn’t lose everything. Do not harbor ingratitude; God EXPECTS your praise (Luke 17:17,18).

Luke 17:13,15 (NKJV) – The Samaritan returned, glorifying God with a loud voice – the same way he shouted when he had asked Jesus for mercy. Match the energy of your thanksgiving with the energy of your petitions. The energy of asking must be the energy of praising.

Luke 17:19 (KJV) – Your faith has made you whole – Praise restores what was eaten by ‘leprosy’. Ingratitude short-circuits your cycle of blessing. Obedience deploys your healing, but gratitude is the catalyst for wholeness. Don’t get stuck on your way to wholeness. Give thanks.

Layers of GRATITUDE (Hebrews 13:15,16) :

1. Make sure your HEART is in it. Your heart must be right.

2. Make sure you add your VOICE to it. You cannot be quiet.

3. Ensure your HAND is also on it. Sieze every opportunity to be a blessing to others, especially those in the household of faith.
