Ministering: Pastor Paul Adefarasin
Topic: Building the Team that Fulfills the Dream
Text: 1 Samuel 7:26 (KJV) & 1 Samuel 18:4 (KJV)
The dream is never what you see in your sleep; rather, it is that which does not allow you to sleep. The dream is not what you see with your eyes in their sockets, nor is it what you see with your head; it is what you see with the eyes of your heart. The eyes in your head have sight. The eyes in your heart have vision. God has caused our hearts to see far more than the span of life we have to live. The eyes in your head will see your today, but the eyes of your heart will give you some clarity about your tomorrow.
Vision pictures God’s plans for your life by showing you trailers of the movie of your life. The vision God has given you is not to frustrate you but to show you the efficacy of Ephesians 3:20 (KJV).
The power that works within you is the gospel, which is the new covenant between God and man. The covenant was made between two aspects of God, yet it was made on our behalf. God does not require perfection from you before He uses, blesses, and increases you.
Visions are glimpses of your tomorrow while you are in your today. This is so you can endure the challenges you face today, knowing that one day you will make it into your future. Your vision isn’t always your invention; sometimes, it is God’s plan for your life.
Psalm 37:4 (KJV); oftentimes your wants are God’s wants (purpose) for your life. However, this doesn’t imply that God will not give you the desires of your heart; rather, He will give you what to desire. It is important to ask the Lord to give you what to desire. If you desire
God’s desire for your life, it means that it already exists at a point in your future and all you need to do is walk in alignment with it.
Vision is what God wants for you, but it is imperative that you want it as much as He wants it for you.
God places the vision in your heart and shows you in your dreams things that are possible for you in your future. God is already in your future. Believe in the dream that God has given you, knowing that nothing is impossible for God to do.
Principle of Exposure:
Exposure gives you the appetite for what you did not know was possible. God does not expose your mind to your possibilities to frustrate you; He exposes you to let you know you can have them (1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV). You cannot see what God has prepared for you if you do not know Him. God is the only person who can truly define you.
God exposes your heart to your possibilities because He wants to accomplish them through you—just like Moses. You are God’s choice. If you keep seeing the vision God has placed in your heart, it is an indication that you have gone past the point of no return.
Principle of Process:
Process is the personal development of your qualities, gifts, character, and resilience. It is your faith in God amidst what seems impossible. Dreams require personal and team development.
If you don’t BE who God called you to be, you will not do what He called you to do. If you don’t DO what He called you to do, you will not HAVE what God has waiting for you. The reason some people have nothing is that they do nothing. The reason they do nothing is that they be nothing. Genesis 1:28 (KJV); the first thing God ever said about man was to create him in His likeness and image so that he could have dominion over the earth. After God blessed man, the first commandment He gave him was, “Be fruitful.” When you see God as He is, only then will you be just like Him. Monkey no dey born goat. God sef, na god him dey born!
When God made man, He vested him in Himself. If you do not know who you are, you will place on yourself an identity that is not of God. The you that exists in God is seen with the eyes of your heart.
You must be fruitful to multiply. When you possess wealth, it becomes a channel of blessing to a nation. For our nation to improve, you must become the best version of yourself. Growth is essential!
