Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service
Ministering: Rev. Lanre Oluseye
Text: Philippians 4:6 (NKJV)
Prayer (and supplication) is not complete without Thanksgiving. Anxiety produces nothing.
Matthew 6:7 (KJV) – Prayer should not be repetitive. God is not deaf.

1 John 5:14,15 (KJV) – Once we’re certain that God has heard, we are confident that He has answered, therefore we have received what we asked even though we do not own it yet.
The point of asking is the point of receiving (Matthew 7:8).The moment we asked, He answered.
What you do between the point of receiving (after asking) and the point of ownership (when it manifests), is repetitive thanksgiving, not repetitive prayer.

Thanksgiving is the prayer between asking and owning. Thanksgiving is the vehicle that sustains you until you get to the point of ownership. Instead of complaining, just thank Him. Keep praising God until you walk into your anticipated blessing. Thank Him in advance because the minute you asked, He answered.
