Topic: Happily Ever After
Text: Amos 3:3 (MSG)
“Marriage is a covenant commitment to love an imperfect person unconditionally, for the rest of your life.”
People are inherently flawed so it’s impossible to have a perfect marriage.
There is no perfect man or woman anywhere but you can find an imperfect person that is perfect for you.
Important Points About Marriage;
1. It takes TWO willing people to make a marriage work -Amos 3:3 (NLT).
2. A good marriage takes TIME. Every marriage goes through the Honeymoon Stage and the Realization Stage which leads to either the Adaptation or Avoidance Stage. Those who choose to adapt grow more intimate and those who choose to avoid, grow apart.
3. It takes TROUBLE for a marriage to work. Understanding is found in misunderstanding; and agreement is harvested from disagreements.
4. When two people TALK, there is nothing that cannot be solved.
‘Happily Ever After’ is possible however, you must –
– Be ready to face the challenge of change. Life happens; people evolve.
– Be ready to accept the things you cannot change.
– Show affection, give attention and show appreciation. Simple things make the biggest differences.
‘Happily Ever After’ is possible!
