God instituted marriage as a collaboration or merger of efforts. When two people interact effectively, the total effect is greater than the sum of their individual efforts.

Deuteronomy 32:30 (NKJV) – combined efforts lead to exponential increase.

Benefits When Teams are Created –

1. Skill sets are complimented

2. Risks are mitigated

3. Accelerated innovation

4. Efficient use of resources

5. Scale in Productivity

6. Guaranteed consistency

7. Mutual support

8. Continuous learning even through conflict.

9. Growth through mentoring

10. Accountability

Genesis 2:18 – Man was not lonely or depressed when he was alone, but God knew man needed help so he could scale in his productivity (Genesis 1:28).

Man was so busy that God had to put him to sleep to make the woman to be his help. Sometimes your help comes when you cannot help yourself.

Joshua 5:13-15 – Joshua was so used to fighting that even when his help arrived, he was in battle mode. Sometimes we’re too used to fighting, that we fight the person God has sent for us to team up with. God sends your spouse to help you, not to fight you. Disunity is from Satan and it destroys. Unity is from God and it builds up. Be empathetic. Do not be at war with your spouse. You’re in the same team.

Team work.

1. Respect your spouse, and their giftings. Your words whether negative or positive are prophecies over your spouse.

2. Believe in your spouse – opportunities come when you believe.

3. Be in agreement.

Matthew 18:19 (AMPC) – Agreement is like music instruments coming together to make a great symphony. It is beautiful music in God’s ears. In agreement, you can achieve anything in your home. If you’re not in agreement it means Satan has taken a place in your home.

Genesis 11:1-6 (NKJV) – When you have one vision and one language, nothing becomes impossible for you. Compromises need to be made – agreement determines the finished end.

Genesis 3:20 – Adam named the woman Eve (Mother of the earth) after the Fall. He understood that there was still purpose in spite of the mistake. Your marriage is not over because of a crisis.

Deuteronomy 32:30,31,4(NKJV) – our Rock does not desert or fail us. When the enemy comes to sow tares in your marriage you drive him out by inviting God in. If God is in it, it will work. God completes the threefold cord in your marriage which makes it impossible to break.

Same team same dream can be a reality. A team always works but you need Jesus in it.
