Ministering: Rev. Lanre Oluseye
Topic: Same Team, Same Dream (Pt 2)
Text: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NKJV)
Last Sunday we established that there are five pillars on which the Protestant Reformation theology stands; You are saved by Grace alone (Sola Gratia), through Faith alone (Sola Fida), in Christ alone (Sola Christus), based on the Word of God alone (Sola Scriptura), and for the purpose of the Glory of God alone (Soli Deo Gloria).
After all has been said and done about your life, the conclusion must be ‘for the glory of God alone’. The glory of God is bigger than you and your wants, preferences, desires, triggers, etc. You ought to live for the glory of God alone (Matthew 5:16).
Keeping your marriage for the glory of God does not mean you must stay in it irrespective of harmful conditions.
John 10:10 ( NKJV, NLT, MSG, TPT, AMP) – Fundamentally, the reason Jesus came, was to give us abundant life to enjoy – the kind of life that is more than we ever dreamed of or imagined (I Corinthians 2:9). Enjoy your Life! Enjoy your spouse, children, job, car, house, present conditions and possessions no matter how little or how much. You have a right to live life to the full. Don’t waste Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Smile. He has already given you everything that pertains to life and godliness (lI Peter 1:3). Instead of worrying about what Satan would do, every morning you ought to be expectant of what God would send your way.

Genesis 15:1-3 (KJV), Hebrews 11:11 (KJV) – Seed precedes the child. Abraham didn’t have a child because he didn’t have seed.
Luke 8:11 (KJV) – The seed is the Word of God. There has to be seed before manifestation. The seed produces the child, the job, the marriage of your dreams and every other thing you desire to have.
John 1:14 (KJV) – The Word (which is the seed) has become flesh.
Galatians 3:16 (KJV) – The seed is Christ. Abraham waited for the seed, but for a man in Christ, you have no need to wait, you proclaim; you call forth. We manifest by calling the things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).
Do you really know who you are in Christ (Psalm 49:20)? The consciousness that the seed is already in place, drives what you declare. Speak! God dwells inside of you. You already have seed, you’re just not talking right. It’s time to start talking right.
Complaining robs you of the joy that is possible in your home/life. What is stealing your joy is comparison and lack of contentment (I Timothy 6:6).
Enjoy your marriage!
Ephesians 5:33 (KJV, NLT, MSG, TPT, AMP) – The husband’s assignment is to die, the wife’s assignment is to submit to him as unto the Lord. The instructions to love and to submit are exclusive of each other. Each spouse is expected to do his/her part, regardless. (Ephesians 5:22-28)

Things to Look Out For in Relationships:
– Judges 16 – Delilah loved Samson until money was involved (Judges 16:5,6). Delilah is a spirit that values convenience over conviction. Delilah will wear you out (Judges 16:16). Don’t believe words, believe patterns. Do not ignore red flags.
– Genesis 19:15-26 – The danger of attachment to toxic environments. You cannot build a future with someone who’s still in love with the past. Divided hearts delay progress. It has to be same team, same dream. Lot’s wife was still attached to what God was trying to destroy.
– II Samuel 6:14-16 – Michal loved David until he danced in a way she considered undignified. Once there’s no admiration, the first casualty is intimacy.
Prayer:
Father pour out Grace. We submit to the integrity of the Word. We speak health, joy and peace into every struggling home. Amen.
