Leadership is influence, and influence in itself is a function of success. Success is one of the bedrocks of influence. Successful people are influential people, although this is relative in reality.
If you want to be successful, you must be a problem solver. If you want success, you must set yourself apart. This is the starting point of the steps to becoming successful. Jesus solved numerous problems in his lifetime on earth.
Influence is the ability to make people exchange their priority for yours. Success brings influence.
One of the pointers that you will be influential in life is your ability to be self-governed. We can’t talk about leadership in the kingdom without talking about self-government. For instance, if a man without control over his appetite will steal. God does not want man to be regulated from the outside but from the inside.
The leaders that God is building are people who have mastered self-governance. You must be the example you want to see in the people you lead. God’s chosen leaders are not reckless in their lifestyle, they know how to comport themselves. We must take cognizance of the responsibilities God has bestowed on us as supernatural.
We can’t come to church to have a social experience. It’s the true essence of the church that is missing that has made our church look like a social gathering.
We must not be among the sets of people who give excuses for negative behavior. This goes to mothers, fathers, husband, wives and, most importantly, as individuals.
When a man is self – governed, everything he does has a sense of decency and decorum. This is all based off on the element of the supernatural. The elements of God’s nature that our principles are supposed to be aligned by; His omnipotent nature (He can do all things), omniscient personality (He is all knowing), omnipresence (God is everywhere). Having the awareness of all that God is, should make us to live an upright and accountable life.
If you will be a leader in this dispensation, you need the manifest presence of God and you need to have the understanding of it. God is everywhere, but He doesn’t manifest everywhere.
How can you activate the manifest presence of God?
1. By knowing that the in dwelling presence activates the outward presence (1st Corinthians 12 : 1-2, 4).
2. You must have the awareness that you must have self-governance and the in dwelling spirit of God.
